Duties

• Engage with clients to assess their needs and develop personalized recovery plans that promote mental health and behavioral stability
• Provide crisis management and intervention support during urgent situations, ensuring client safety and stabilization
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes and reinforce recovery goals
• Offer mentorship and behavioral health counseling to foster resilience, self-efficacy, and emotional well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans within electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, addiction counselors, and healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care
• Support clients in navigating community resources, treatment programs, and social services to enhance their recovery journey

 

Experience

• Proven experience in crisis intervention and crisis management within behavioral health or social services settings
• Strong background in mental health counseling, addiction counseling, or related behavioral health fields
• Familiarity with social work principles and practices aimed at supporting vulnerable populations
• Skilled in motivational interviewing techniques to facilitate client engagement and behavior change
• Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management
• Knowledge of crisis intervention protocols, mental health assessments, and safety planning strategies
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse populations
