Fire Alarm Technician

A respected and growing fire protection and life safety company is actively seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems while working with a company that values safety, quality, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, service, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems across commercial and/or residential environments
  • Program, troubleshoot, and diagnose fire alarm system issues, including wiring, devices, and panel malfunctions
  • Perform inspections and ensure systems remain compliant with NFPA, local, and state regulations
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades to maintain peak performance
  • Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams to identify and resolve technical concerns
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and inventory in safe and operational condition
  • Follow all safety procedures, company standards, and industry best practices while on job sites

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in fire alarm installation, service, or maintenance preferred (commercial and/or residential experience considered)
  • Working knowledge of NFPA standards, fire alarm codes, and life safety systems
  • Experience with leading fire alarm systems such as Notifier, Siemens, EST, Simplex, Honeywell, or comparable platforms
  • NIET Level I certification (or higher) in Fire Alarm Systems preferred, though technicians of all experience levels will be considered
  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics, blueprints, and system layouts
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities with excellent attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
