At Moog we have a culture of trust and mutual respect; and for you, working with us can mean deeper job satisfaction, better rewards, and a great quality of life inside and outside of work.**To be considered for the role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:*** Bachelor of Science in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical or a relative engineering discipline with experience in the manufacturing of aerospace manufactured components* Minimum 6 years or more of progressive experience in the field of manufacturing engineering, preferably with aerospace cylindrical steel components**It’d be great if you also had:*** Experience with NX & Team Center* Previous experience with creating manufacturing processes for aerospace cylindrical components with gears and / or splines* Strong knowledge of gears / splines manufacturing processes* Strong knowledge of gears / splines inspection methods and tools* Experience with CMM (Zeiss) inspection methods and reports* Previous experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry and familiarity with AS9100 requirements* Organizational and time management skills* Results oriented team player with effective and strong verbal and written communication skills**Strong knowledge of the following machining processes:*** Turning* Milling* OD/ID, Surface, and Jig Grinding**Familiarity with the following Gear machining processes:*** Shaping* Hobbing* Broaching* Gear Grinding**Moderate knowledge of the following processes:*** Heat Treatment, including carburizing, nitriding, and core hardening* Plating processes, such as cad plating, zinc-nickel plating, chrome plating* NDT: Magnetic particle inspection, Nital Etch Inspection, Hardness Testing.* Aerospace Painting processes**Strong knowledge of:*** Machining properties for various aerospace steels, such as carbon steels, stainless steels, carburizing steels, nitriding steels, aluminum, etc.3D Modeling best practices and principles* GDT, Engineering Drawings Interpretation and creation* Fixture and Tool Design* Inspection methods, tools and best practices for relative hardware (Cylindrical, small to mid-size geared components)* Employment of various quality processes, such as 5 Why’s and Fishbone diagrams, to perform Root Cause analysis and provide robust Corrective Action for low yield processes and/or non-conforming hardwareAs a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will perform routine manufacturing engineering work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
