A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 250-bed community hospital located near Northern Indiana, offering a dynamic inpatient role within a supportive healthcare environment. This position provides the chance to contribute directly to patient care by overseeing medication management in a hospital inpatient setting.

Location: Northern Indiana (Mishawaka area)

Assignment Details:

• Duration: 13 weeks with the possibility to extend
• Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts per week on the 2nd shift (1:00 pm to 10:30 pm)
• Potential alternative schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders ensuring accuracy and safety
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient pharmacy operations
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize patient drug therapy
• Provide pharmacokinetic consultations and dosing recommendations
• Support inpatient pharmacy operations and patient care initiatives

Qualifications:

• Valid Indiana pharmacist license is required
• Previous hospital inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
