Job Title: Case Manager Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, Case Management Certification, Bachelor's Degree Must-Have: - Case management experience in an acute care setting - Proficient in utilization review and denials management Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Case Management specialty. The position is day shift, consisting of five 8-hour shifts. Experience in case management within an acute care setting is required. A Bachelor's Degree is also required. Candidates must be proficient in utilization review and denials management. Certifications required include BLS and Case Management Certification. The patient age group will primarily involve adults and geriatrics. The staffing ratio is 1 nurse to 35 patients. No weekend shifts are required. Candidates will engage in care coordination, concurrent review, and discharge planning. The expected daily census is 117 patients with a focus on quality improvement. Applicants must demonstrate skill in determining medical necessity per evidence-based guidelines. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role. The clinician will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
