Dean of Parents (Carrollton, TX, Full-Time)

Texas Sports Academy is a K-12 school designed for serious student-athletes who want both elite academics and high-level athletic development. Students cover 2x the material in just 2 hours a day, using the same 2-Hour Learning model as Alpha Schools. That frees up their entire afternoon for serious training, where they work alongside former pro and D1 athletes coaching them at the highest standard.

We are hiring a Dean of Parents to be the primary point of contact for the families of our student-athletes. You own the parent experience end to end: keeping families informed, answering their questions quickly and clearly, addressing concerns before they become issues, and making sure every parent feels the level of care and communication they should expect from a school this serious about their kid.

What You'll Do

• Own the Parent Experience: Be the go-to contact for every family at the campus. Answer questions, share updates, and make sure parents feel heard and taken care of.
• Communicate Proactively: Send regular, high-quality updates to families on what is happening at school, what their kid is working on, and what is coming next. Do not wait for parents to ask.
• Handle Concerns With Care: When a parent has a concern or complaint, get to it quickly, listen well, and work with the campus team to resolve it. Keep the family looped in the whole way.
• Run Parent Events and Touchpoints: Coordinate parent nights, tours, and community moments that make families feel connected to the school and the mission.
• Partner With Campus Leadership: Work closely with the campus coordinator, coaches, and academic team so parent communication reflects what is actually happening on the ground.
• Track and Improve: Keep a clear view of open parent issues, response times, and feedback. Look for patterns and push for changes that make the experience better.

Requirements

• Strong Parent-Facing or Customer-Facing Background: You have five plus years running a role where families, customers, or a community counted on you as their main point of contact. School, membership, hospitality, concierge, high-touch customer success, or similar.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication: You write clear, warm, professional emails and can hold a hard conversation on the phone without losing composure.
• Judgment Under Pressure: You know how to read a room, de-escalate a frustrated parent, and figure out what is really being asked.
• Organized and Reliable: You do not drop things. You track open items, follow through, and keep parents in the loop even when the answer is not ready yet.
• Warm and Direct: You genuinely like people and can be honest with them at the same time. You do not sugarcoat and you do not go cold.
• Location and Setup: Based at our Carrollton, TX campus full-time, with occasional work at our Parker campus. U.S. work authorization required.

Bonus Points

• School or Youth Program Experience: You have worked at a school, camp, club, or youth program where parents were a central part of the job.
• CRM or Communication Tools: You have used tools like HubSpot, Intercom, or a school information system to manage family communication at scale.
• Sports or Athletics Background: You understand what serious youth athletics looks like and can talk credibly with parents about it.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish): You can communicate with Spanish-speaking families directly.
