Laboratory Technician

Role Description The Laboratory Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Hollywood, FL. This role is responsible for supporting cosmetic product development and manufacturing by preparing samples, handling raw materials, and operating laboratory equipment according to established procedures. Day-to-day tasks include conducting routine tests and measurements, recording and organizing data, assisting in stability and compatibility studies, and maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized lab workspaces. The Laboratory Technician will collaborate with chemists and production teams to ensure formulations meet quality standards, support troubleshooting of lab or production issues, and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines. The role also involves calibrating and caring for instruments, labeling and tracking samples, and contributing to continuous improvement of lab processes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including familiarity with standard laboratory procedures and experience working as or alongside laboratory technicians. Candidates should be comfortable operating and maintaining laboratory equipment used in formulation, testing, and sample preparation. Candidates should demonstrate solid quality control capabilities, including adherence to SOPs, documentation accuracy, and attention to product standards. Candidates should have well-developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret test results, identify deviations, and support problem-solving activities. Relevant experience in cosmetics, personal care, or a related laboratory environment is preferred. Associate’s degree or technical certification in chemistry, biology, cosmetic science, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent practical experience will be considered. Ability to follow detailed instructions, work safely with chemicals and equipment, and collaborate effectively in a team-based setting. Strong organization skills, reliable time management, and the ability to stand, move, and perform hands-on lab work throughout the shift.
