Program Assistant - temp/part-time

Summary

The Program Assistant provides administrative, logistical, and programmatic support for the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of adolescent health education and community-based intervention programs within the Division of Community Health and Research, Department of Pediatrics. The position assists with health education activities, training events, data collection and management, preparation of educational materials, community outreach, and grant-related program activities to support successful implementation of the Teen Health 360 program.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with implementation of Teen Health 360 program activities, including health education sessions, educator trainings, community outreach, workshops, and other program events in collaboration with the program team and community partners.
• Support program monitoring and evaluation through data collection, data entry, quality assurance, organization of program records, and maintenance of electronic databases.
• Provide administrative and logistical support for meetings, trainings, workshops, scheduling, participant communications, material preparation, and coordination of program activities.
• Prepare, organize, and distribute educational materials, program resources, reports, presentations, grant documents, and other written communications.
• Participate in team meetings, community engagement activities, and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or training:

High school diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of administrative or program support experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Level and type ofexperience

Experience providing administrative, programmatic, or community-based support in public health, education, healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or related settings.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Basic knowledge of program implementation, data collection, and evaluation.
• Ability to learn new software applications and technology.

Other:

Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends for community outreach, trainings, and program events.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience working with school-age youth, adolescent health, or community-based public health programs.
• Experience supporting grant-funded health education or research projects.
• Experience with data entry, data management, and quality assurance.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, REDCap, Qualtrics, Google Forms, or similar electronic data collection platforms.
• Working knowledge of data management and basic quantitative data analysis using Microsoft Excel, SPSS, or similar statistical software.
• Experience preparing educational materials, reports, presentations, or training resources.
• Strong customer service and community engagement skills Special licenses, registration, or certification:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Health Promotion, Social Sciences, Education, Communications, or a related field.

Experience working in schools, community organizations, healthcare settings, youth-serving organizations, or public health programs.

Final salary offers may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and budget availability. The anticipated salary range for this position is$20.00 - $25.00
