Assistant Family-Teacher

About the Role Position: Assistant Family Teacher (Omaha, NE) Pay: $20.00 per hour starting, with $1,500 hiring bonus (subject to change). Application deadline: July 1, 2026. Shift: Full‑time, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, includes two weekends and two overnight stays per month. The Assistant Family Teacher provides direct care to at‑risk children in a family style home setting, teaching life skills, modeling positive behavior, and supporting moral, educational, and emotional development. Responsibilities Provide care, guidance, and behavioral support to youth. Teach life and social skills using the Boys Town model. Support academic and spiritual development. Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment. Participate in fun and educational activities with youth. Serve as a role model in activities and behaviors that reflect Boys Town values and principles. Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor to meet organizational needs. Qualifications 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Passion for working with youth; flexible and team‑oriented. Physical ability to engage with children and lift up to 50 lbs. Maintain current CPR certification and obtain nationally recognized personal restraint model certification during pre‑service training. Physical & Safety Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs and safely transport youth. Perform household tasks and respond to physical/emotional needs. Handle behavioral challenges and follow safety protocols.
