Comprehensive cancer program emphasizes disease-focused sub‑specialization with most physicians concentrating on 1–2 primary disease areas within a collaborative, multidisciplinary care model. Multidisciplinary approach has garnered national recognition, including program accreditation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and Rectal Cancers, FACT and others. Consistently demonstrates commitment to improving cancer care through program expansions, including malignant and classical hematology, stem cell transplant and cellular therapy with a new stem cell lab and ability to manipulate cells in-house, physician‑led integrative medicine for patient‑centered care and the addition of a new state‑of‑the‑art facility in our region. Active participation in tumor boards, multidisciplinary clinics, and nurse navigation programs. Clinical professorships available through our affiliation with UNC School of Medicine.
