Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2450.92 Opportunity: RN - Med/Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM • Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit with 34 beds • Patient ratio of 6:1 • Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse coordinator, 6 RNs, and 3 patient care technicians • Work with traction equipment and Meditech EMR system • Perform total joint and spine procedures • Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience required • BLS certification required • Familiarity with traction preferred • Experience with spine, hip, and joint precautions preferred • ACLS certification preferred • Outgoing, team-oriented, and compassionate personality preferred Facility: This is a brand new medical surgical unit located within a large acute care hospital in Wichita, Kansas. The facility offers a full surgical services department with a well-tenured and experienced staff team of 50 members. The unit is equipped with modern technology including traction equipment and an electronic medical records system, providing a strong foundation for quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
