Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professional (DSP) $18.70 per hour Full-Time Shift: Sunday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate with Apis Services, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of Full-time (DSP) position at our Toms River area group home supporting men with disabilities. Advancing Opportunities is seeking a caring, compassionate people to provide assistance, supervision, guidance, mentoring and direction to our residents. Our mission is “Achieve full societal participation for all people with disabilities”. Use your talents to assist and teach our consumers, with intellectual and physical disabilities, about: cooking, housekeeping, recreation, shopping, budgeting, healthy living, hygiene, personal medical care, coping skills, social skills, friendship building, and how to utilize their community resources. Make a difference by helping others gain daily living skills, greater independence and autonomy. No experience necessary, we offer paid training. Requirements: Valid driver’s license. 18 years or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Consent to State, Federal Criminal Background Checks. Drug Screen; Pre-Employment Physical, PPD.
