IT Support Technician

Salary: $43,680 - 62,400 per year Requirements:

• We need someone with 3+ years of progressively responsible IT support experience, or comparable hands-on technical experience.
• We expect experience resolving issues beyond basic desktop support.
• We require working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
• We need familiarity with Windows Server environments.
• We expect understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Wi-Fi, VLANs, and basic routing.
• We require strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• We need strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We expect the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• We require accurate and timely documentation habits.
• We need a valid drivers license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites as needed.
• We require the ability to participate in an on-call rotation that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking knowledge.
• Preferred: Microsoft MS-102, AZ-104, or a similar Microsoft certification.
• Preferred: Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Preferred: Experience with Hyper-V or VMware.
• Preferred: Experience with backup and disaster recovery platforms.
• Preferred: Experience with endpoint security or RMM platforms.
• Preferred: Prior experience in a managed services or multi-client IT environment.

• We troubleshoot escalated workstation, application, identity, printer, and peripheral issues.
• We support Windows Server environments and perform basic Hyper-V/VMware administration.
• We troubleshoot networking issues involving switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• We support Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Active Directory/Entra ID, MFA, licensing, and common security controls.
• We troubleshoot backup failures and assist with restore requests.
• We support endpoint security and remote monitoring and management tools.
• We assist with workstation deployments, migrations, infrastructure changes, and other small IT projects.
• We identify root causes rather than only addressing symptoms.
• We create practical technical documentation and knowledge base materials.
• We help Tier I technicians strengthen their troubleshooting and technical skills.
• We keep clients informed and take ownership of issues through resolution or proper escalation.
