Job Description


We're seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our upscale restaurant in Falls Church, VA. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a passion for excellence in hospitality and a proven track record in restaurant management.


Key Responsibilities


Leadership and Management

• Hiring and Training : Interview, onboard, and train new employees, ensuring they excel in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Scheduling : Create and manage staff schedules to ensure all shifts are properly covered.

Operations

• Inventory Management : Oversee inventory levels, reorder supplies, negotiate rates and contracts with vendors, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Customer Service : Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and handle customer complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• Guest Relations : Listen to and act on customer feedback, whether it's praise or constructive criticism.

Financial Oversight

• Finances : Monitor sales and expenses, create and manage budgets, and set financial goals to ensure profitability.

Quality Control

• Food Quality : Oversee food quality and enforce food handling and safety regulations.

Marketing and Promotion

• Marketing : Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.

Administrative Tasks

• Paperwork : Complete necessary paperwork, including sales, inventory, and staff attendance reports.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 5 years in the restaurant and food service industry, with experience in a fast-paced environment.
