This is not a fulltime or contract role it's backup Data center role Job Description : A Data Center Technician installs, maintains, and repairs hardware and infrastructure within a data center environment. They ensure servers, networking equipment, and power/cooling systems operate efficiently with minimal downtim e. Key Responsibilit iesInstall, configure, and maintain servers, racks, and network equipm entPerform hardware upgrades, replacements, and troubleshoot ingMonitor system performance and respond to alerts or outa gesManage cabling (fiber and copper), labeling, and organizat ionSupport power and cooling systems (UPS, PDUs, HVAC coordinati on)Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintena nceDocument work, inventory, and incidents accurat elyAssist in data center moves, adds, and changes (MAC wo rk)Follow security procedures and access contr olsCollaborate with network engineers, system admins, and IT te amsRequired Skills & Qualificati onsBasic knowledge of servers, networking, and operating syst emsUnderstanding of data center infrastructure (power, cooling, rac ks)Experience with hardware troubleshooting and diagnost icsFamiliarity with cabling standards and to olsAbility to read technical manuals and diagr amsStrong attention to detail and organizational ski llsPhysical ability to lift equipment and work in server environme ntsPreferred Qualificati onsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fi eldCertifications such as:CompTIA A+ / Netwo c.)Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring too #J-18808-Ljbffr
