Construction Coordinator

Job Description

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Construction Coordinator for a 1-month Capex project working October 5th-October 29th in Almeda, TX.

Job Type: Contract / Project-Based Assignment
Assignment Dates: October 5 - October 29, 2026

This position will coordinate construction and contractor activities, support project execution, and ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project plans and site requirements.

This is a short-term project assignment that includes increased hours during a scheduled outage.

Schedule:

• 3 weeks: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Outage Week (October 19-24): Approximately 60 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction activities in alignment with overall project schedules and site operations.
• Execute and maintain project construction plans, processes, and site procedures.
• Coordinate contractor construction and installation resources.
• Monitor construction progress and immediately communicate delays or concerns to the Project Manager.
• Communicate upcoming construction activities and potential operational impacts to site teams.
• Ensure contractors and project personnel comply with site HSE, permitting, PPE, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate work permit procedures, Life Saving Rules, Behavior Based Safety, and other site safety processes.
• Support deviation, claim, and project change-management processes.
• Coordinate construction site access, security, restricted areas, access passes, and temporary facilities.
• Oversee temporary construction needs including offices, workshops, warehouses, parking, and lay-down areas.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, and release of project materials and equipment, including required documentation.
• Support expediting, inspections, and release documentation.
• Monitor contractor HSE requirements and required safety qualifications for personnel working on the project.
• Support waste management, housekeeping, and site cleanliness requirements.
• Ensure awareness and adherence to the site's Emergency Response Plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction coordination, project construction, or a similar industrial role.
• Proven experience coordinating construction activities and contractors in a comparable project or industrial environment.
• Strong working knowledge of construction processes and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE) compliance and site safety requirements.
• Understanding of work permits, PPE requirements, Life Saving Rules, and Behavior Based Safety.
• Ability to assess how construction activities may impact ongoing site operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and contractor coordination skills.
• Ability to make timely decisions and effectively manage conflicts in a fast-paced project environment.
• No degree or professional certification required.
