- Supervise Nursing Staff : Assign and delegate duties appropriately based on resident census and staff availability
- Oversee Medication Management : Monitor medication administration and coordinate reorders
- Implement Care Plans : Ensure care plans are followed according to company policy and physician orders
- Provide Direct Care Support : Perform and supervise treatments, and serve as staff nurse as needed
- Manage Documentation : Transcribe physician orders promptly, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records
- Lead Shift Communication : Participate in shift reports and ensure staff are informed of care needs
- Ensure Compliance : Enforce infection control procedures and safe work practices
- Respond to Staffing Needs : Coordinate coverage for staffing shortages
- Oversee Incidents : Investigate variances, contact families, and complete incident reports
- Manage Lab Work : Monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up
