As the Mechanical Engineer, Structures you will play a critical role in driving our mission to make data universally available, secure and actionable anywhere on the planet. The ideal candidate has prior experience working on a spacecraft engineering team with a passion for designing and manufacturing satellite structures. This position will report to the VP, Satellite Platform and will work closely with the broader engineering team. This position requires at least 3 solid years (non‑academic) satellite experience. This role is based in our Saratoga, CA office. Responsibilities Work closely with the satellite sub‑system teams to design satellite structures and mechanisms. Be a CAD modeling expert (SolidWorks) managing your CAD assemblies and drawings. Develop build documents and drawings for your hardware. Define, build and test your designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware. Support the fabrication, assembly and testing of our flight build. Qualifications At least 5 years of hands‑on experience using CAD skills to develop and build models and drawings. Experience successfully implementing design solutions in a complex space environment. Experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints. Prior spacecraft engineering team experience. Strong knowledge of LEO satellite component development, design and in‑orbit activities.
