Senior Human Resources Coordinator
Hybrid : 4 days work from home and one day in the Concord, CA office.
Pay Range : $39 - $43/hr.
Full-Time Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week

We are actively seeking a Senior Human Resources Coordinator to join a confidential, employee-focused insurance and claims administration company. In this role, you’ll help keep HR operations running smoothly across onboarding, HRIS, payroll support, timekeeping, and employee programs while partnering closely with HR leadership on projects that shape the employee experience.

What You’ll Do:
- Oversee the full HR onboarding process and keep key partners updated on changes and next steps.
- Coordinate supervisor timecard training for newly hired and promoted leaders, and refresh training materials as rules change.
- Support core people operations work, including onboarding, attendance tracking, payroll preparation, engagement initiatives, and HR projects.
- Partner with HR leadership on learning, development, performance management, and rewards-related needs.
- Manage the attendance side of payroll by running reports, following up on discrepancies, and flagging concerning trends.
- Review exempt and non-exempt time records for accuracy and help reinforce attendance expectations with employees and supervisors.
- Audit payroll previews carefully and work with payroll contacts to resolve errors before final processing.
- Help update attendance policies and intranet content so managers and employees have current guidance.
- Maintain HRIS records, complete audits, correct data, support system updates, and train team members as needed.
- Serve as a key contact for document management tools, service awards, benefit support, file audits, employee questions, and HR reporting.
To Be Successful in This Role, You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of general Human Resources experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on HRIS experience.
- Experience with timekeeping, attendance administration, and/or wage and hour record review for exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Benefit administration or benefit audit experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort learning new systems quickly.
- Excellent organization, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with ease.
- High attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and a calm, service-oriented approach.
- APHR or PHR preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a strong track record of equivalent, relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
