Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic)

Clean Harbors Corunna, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic ) to join their safety conscious team! This position will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of all company owned fleet (trucks, tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, etc) Why work for Clean Harbors?

- This is a Union position; wage is currently $45.06 an hour.
- Currently the schedule is 6:30am - 3:00pm Monday to Friday.

- Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
- Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
- Work independently on customer sites often.
- Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment (Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks).
- Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
- Complete repair orders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy-duty vehicles.
- Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
- Complete warranty information.
- Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
- Carry out housekeeping duties.
- Complete required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Preferred Licensed/ Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A) (Off Road Mechanic), or related experience and proficiency
- 3+ years' experience working as a Offroad Technician/Mechanic with Dozers, Excavators and Rock Trucks.
- Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
- Previous experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
- Ability to use diagnostic software
- Driver's License required.
