Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Role Description This part-time, on-site Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner role is based in Westland, MI. The clinician will provide direct patient care, including conducting histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence-based treatment plans under appropriate supervision and scope of practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing follow-up visits, chronic disease care, and acute concerns, prescribing medications and therapies, and coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare team members. The role also involves educating patients and families on diagnoses, medications, preventive care, and lifestyle changes, documenting encounters in the medical record, and supporting quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives. The PA/NP will collaborate closely with staff to ensure timely, compassionate, and efficient patient flow and service. Qualifications Current, valid Michigan license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with appropriate national certification (e.g., NCCPA, AANP, ANCC). Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program and eligibility to obtain or maintain DEA registration as required for prescribing. Demonstrated clinical competence in outpatient primary care, internal medicine, or relevant specialty, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Strong patient-centered communication skills, including the ability to explain medical information clearly, listen actively, and build trust with diverse populations. Proficiency in using electronic health records, documenting accurately and efficiently, and following regulatory, privacy, and compliance standards. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, manage time effectively in a busy clinical environment, and adapt to changing patient needs. Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality improvement and patient-safety activities. CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and prior outpatient or primary care experience are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
