As a Veterinary Technician, you'll play an important role in supporting our doctors and helping patients receive safe, compassionate, and efficient care. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting doctors during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Safely restraining pets in a way that allows necessary procedures to be completed with minimal stress
• Taking accurate patient histories and medical notes for the veterinarian
• Obtaining temperatures, samples, and vital signs as requested
• Drawing up vaccines and flea and tick preventives as directed
• Assisting with medication fills and refills at the veterinarian's request
• Anticipating doctor needs during routine examinations and surgical visits
• Cleaning and preparing exam rooms for incoming patients in accordance with OSHA guidelines
• Following appropriate protocols related to infectious and zoonotic diseases
• Supporting measures designed to reduce or eliminate disease transmission
• Assisting with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiology, and other technical procedures based on experience
• Supporting surgical and perioperative patient care based on skill level
• Occasionally assisting with our outdoor vaccine clinic

Experience with surgical technician responsibilities—including anesthetizing, maintaining, monitoring, and recovering patients perioperatively—is a plus, but not required.

We're looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician who combines strong technical ability with compassion, reliability, and a commitment to excellent patient care. Our ideal candidate brings:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills
• Experience interacting professionally with clients and customers
• A commitment to patient safety and low-stress handling
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to take accurate patient histories and medical notes
• An understanding of common infectious and zoonotic diseases
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Availability to work weekends, typically every other weekend

Experience with surgery, advanced animal care, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiology, and pharmacology is highly preferred.
