- Responsibilities Include:
- Assessing patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment.
- Developing personalized care plans based on diagnoses.
- Implementing and monitoring patient care plans and specialized equipment.
- Evaluating respiratory practices and administering medications based on patient outcomes.
- Educating patients and families about health conditions, community support groups, and available programs.
- Responding to emergency resuscitation team codes with confidence and efficiency.
- Complexity of Work:
- Utilize critical thinking skills and decisive judgment within your scope of practice.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment with minimal supervision. - Qualifications:
- Required Credentials:
- BLS Provider from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Preferred Credentials:
- Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. - Education Requirements:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR
- Associate's degree/Technical degree OR
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required. - Unit Description:
