Seasoned Commercial HVAC Technician

Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our fast‑growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can‑do attitude, strong problem‑solving skills, and an active EPA Certification. Job Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and food service equipment to determine repair or replacement needs. Perform maintenance, service, and repairs, installing new units or replacing parts of existing units according to specifications of 15 tons+. Maintain larger preventive maintenance (PM) contracts with more than 5 units. Repair or replace defective parts in units, equipment and their controls. Service and troubleshoot mini‑splits and/or replace smaller RTUs and mini‑splits for 15 tons or less. Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for customers. Provide elite customer service to every customer encountered. Accountabilities Continual learning and development through FirstCall Academy to maintain industry skill level. Deliver elite level of customer service to uphold FirstCall’s reputation. Qualifications Trusted with a TWIC card. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Active EPA Certification. 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting. OSHA10 Certification. Manufacturer Certification preferred. Available to work flexible hours, on‑call shifts as needed. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement; compute rates, ratios, percentages; draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions; solve problems involving multiple variables; prioritize tasks; lead and teach helpers and tech I’s. Physical Demands Regular use of hands; standing, walking, sitting; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lifting or moving up to 50lb; visual acuity for close, distance, peripheral, depth vision, and focus adjustment.
