This leadership position involves providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects. Job Type: Full‑time Civil Engineering Manager, Renewables In addition to defining project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements, the Engineering Manager is responsible for supervising staff, improving workflows, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The Engineer ensures that team members are empowered to excel, contribute their best work, and grow professionally within the organization. The Manager also upholds QA/QC standards, oversees project scopes, manages budgets, identifies opportunities for additional scope and revenue, and participates in business development activities, building strong relationships with clients and internal teams to drive project success and contribute to Westwood’s growth in the renewable energy sector. Job Duties and Responsibilities Oversee all civil design aspects for utility‑scale renewable projects. Provide strategic direction, leadership, and mentorship to the design team. Define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements. Prepare and support project proposals. Establish goals for project deliverables and maintain QA/QC standards. Improve workflows and products. Supervise and mentor staff/project engineers. Participate in business development activities. Foster relationships with internal teams. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Proven experience in civil design and technical solutions for renewable projects. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to define project tasks, schedules, and resource requirements. Proficiency in budget management and proposal preparation. Knowledge of QA/QC standards and project workflow improvement. Supervisory experience and mentorship skills.
