Somerset Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to provide therapeutic support to clients both through telehealth and in-person sessions, aimed at fostering healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting while remaining dedicated to delivering high-quality care to clients in Brighton, Colorado, and surrounding areas. Although most interactions occur through system-based telehealth sessions, our outpatient facility is available for face-to-face client meetings when needed. Our working hours span from 7 AM to 10 PM seven days a week, offering a variety of scheduling options to accommodate both clients’ and counselors’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique experiences and needs.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions for diverse client demographics, such as individuals, groups, families, and couples, adapting to varying contexts and emotional states.

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and integrity of client information.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care, checking in on client progress and adjusting treatment strategies accordingly.

  • Stay engaged in ongoing professional development by participating in workshops, training sessions, and other educational opportunities to further enhance knowledge in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will engage with a diverse clientele seeking support for various mental health challenges. Our focus includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance misuse. The ability to establish a quick rapport and foster a trusting therapeutic alliance will be essential in helping our clients achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.
  • \n
  • Active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure in the state of Colorado is required.
  • \n
  • A minimum of two years of counseling experience, preferably within a clinical or outpatient context.
  • \n
  • Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards governing clinical practice and client confidentiality.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and rapport-building skills with clients from all backgrounds.
  • \n
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team focused on client well-being.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software and related technologies is essential for maintaining timely and accurate client documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Specialization or significant experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or dealing with substance misuse populations is highly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in therapeutic methodologies and approaches that promote positive client outcomes and engagement.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and USD 100,000 annually, with additional bonus opportunities available.
