Application Developer III - Java & SQL

Our Client a Health Insurance company is looking for an Application Developer III Java & SQL for their Detroit MI /Hybrid location.
Requirements:- Strong hands-on development experience with Java including modern Java versions and features.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Spring Batch applications and batch-processing solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL including :
- Complex queries
- Joins and subqueries
- Query optimization and performance tuning
- Developing maintaining and troubleshooting SQL stored procedures.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming design patterns coding standards and application architecture.
- Experience with source-control and modern development practices preferably Git/GitHub.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools for code generation refactoring testing troubleshooting and developer productivity.
- Experience with unit testing debugging code reviews and application troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
