Journeyman Electrician

VIKOR is looking to add a full‑time Journeyman Electrician to its Sioux Falls location. The role focuses on power and equipment installation on solar energy sites across the Midwest and Mountain regions. Responsibilities Lead and manage a crew of three solar technicians on commercial solar installations (50kW+). Install and supervise AC/DC electrical systems, including inverters, combiners, disconnects, switchgear, and transformers. Perform conduit installation, wire pulls, terminations, grounding, and utility interconnections. Oversee installation of ground‑mount racking systems, piers/helical piles, and structural components. Interpret one‑line and construction drawings; ensure NEC and local code compliance. Serve as the licensed electrical authority on site and coordinate inspections. Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain jobsite organization and productivity. Oversee system testing, commissioning, and quality‑control documentation. Requirements Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check. Ability to travel for 90% of the year. Journeyman or lineman electrical license preferred. Ability to obtain a CDL. Able to pass drug test. Lifts at least 75 pounds. Works at various heights up to 300 ft and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, towers, catwalks, and all types of ladders. Good physical stamina and willingness to work 45–75 hours per week with overtime paid at time and a half. Benefits $40/day per‑diem for meals while traveling.
