About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with Jackson HealthPros to find a qualified MRI Tech in Reno, Nevada, 89502!

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to produce diagnostic MRI scans, assist radiologists during procedures, and ensure patient care while representing the facility’s standards. The clinician will prepare and position patients, operate MRI scanners, manage contrast administration protocols, and maintain image quality and safety standards across a range of patient ages.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. MRI registry required at time of hire.
• MRI advanced level certification or equivalent state licensure where applicable.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical or hospital-based MRI experience with on-site training. Technologists with five recent years in radiologic specialties preferred.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Experience with MRI contrast media, MRI physics, and producing diagnostic image quality across standard MRI sequences (T1, T2, proton density, etc.).
• Ability to operate various MRI scanner platforms and hospital/department computer systems.
• Willingness and ability to float within organization up to competency level, and to work variable schedules including weekends, holidays, and possible call or after-hours standby as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as R.T., R.M.R.I.T., or equivalent MRI-specific credentials.
• Experience in high-volume, trauma-designated hospital settings or large regional referral centers.
• Prior experience with stroke protocol imaging and trauma imaging workflows.

Assignment Details

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Schedule includes 3x12-hour format, rotating days of the week, with a focus on weekends and varied graveyard (overnight) shifts.
• Call requirements and specifics to be discussed during interview; traveler may be required to pick up call and additional shifts during the schedule period.
• Travelers may be required to float to meet organizational needs up to their competency level.
