About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year of surgical experience required; first timers accepted License: NY license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Robotic experience - General OR experience - Scrubbing experience Description: This position requires a Certified Surgical Technologist. Candidates must have experience with robotic surgical procedures. There is a rotation for on-call requirements, with a rotation of 1 in 4 or 5. On-call hours are from 7 PM to 7 AM the following day. Weekend on-call is from 7 AM Saturday until 7 AM Monday. The position requires a 20-minute call-back response time. A call house is available for individuals living outside the required radius. Candidates should have experience with infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Special procedures include orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology, and podiatry. Skills required include general OR, endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, and various surgical procedures. Experience with the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is necessary. Preferred skills also include surgical procedures associated with abdominal hysterectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and total joint replacements. High-level disinfection and airway management skills are preferred. Candidates will be required to work on weekends and one weeknight per week. Float assignments may be necessary as part of the role.
