About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 33 Days Shift: Multiple Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:00 AM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred experience in skilled nursing facility or long-term care License: RN license in the state of Arizona Certifications: CPR/BLS Card, Hepatitis B vaccination or declination, COVID vaccination or declination Must-Have: Minimum of 2 years of preferred skilled nursing facility or long-term care experience. Description: Schedule consists of 12-hour shifts. Looking for full-time nursing staff willing to take a block schedule of three days one week and four days the opposite week, including every other weekend. Administer medication and perform treatments on an assigned unit, as ordered by the physician and within the scope of license. Receive and deliver a variety of information regarding residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs. Participate in the receiving and giving of shift reports. Communicate with residents, family, and staff to ensure residents receive appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team. Perform the initial admission nursing assessment on newly admitted residents. Assist with the development of Minimum Data Set assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans. Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment, and summary of client progress. Lead and perform limited supervision of subordinate staff and assist as needed with direct resident care for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Conduct and participate in in-service training and staff development programs. Utilize problem-solving concepts and tools for continuous process improvement and efficiency. Demonstrate knowledge of gerontological nursing theory and practices. Understand the effects of the aging process on residents' changing medical, physical, and psychological care needs. Apply nursing methods and techniques for observing and assessing behavior and patient progress. Develop and carry out patient care plans within a team concept. Build effective interpersonal relationships. Learn and implement continuous improvement methods and tools.
