We are seeking a Mobile Diagnostic Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diesel mechanics and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing various diesel related systems. This role requires a commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast paced atmosphere. As a Diesel Technician, you will be working both on the road and at our shop.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tractor trailers, including inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct tire services both at the shop and road side.
- You must be able to unmount and mount tractor trailer tires by hand.
- Diagnose and repair air leaks.
- Diagnose and repair coolant leaks.
- Repair wheel seals.
- Diagnose and repair braking systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic leaks.
- Utilize diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the automotive or diesel industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- A CDL license is a plus for test driving and/or transporting.
- A 3-to-5-year motor vehicle record is required.
- Must have your own tools.
- Experience working with tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty vehicles and machines is preferred.
- Certifications related to diesel technology are a plus.
- Welding experience is a plus.
