Data Analyst

Data AnalystWe are seeking a detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. This role will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and visualizing data to support business decision-making, as well as investigating and documenting existing data systems, reports, and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from relational databasesDesign, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BIReverse engineer existing reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, and legacy SQL logic to understand and document underlying business rules, calculations, and data lineageTrace metrics and KPIs back to their source systems and transformation logic when documentation is missing or outdatedIdentify data quality issues, inconsistencies, or gaps in existing reporting processes and recommend improvementsPartner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into data solutionsDocument data definitions, query logic, and dashboard architecture for future maintainabilitySupport ad hoc data requests and analysis for various departmentsRequired QualificationsStrong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, window functions, query optimization)Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)Demonstrated ability to reverse engineer existing queries, reports, or systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailAbility to communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholdersPreferred QualificationsExperience with ETL processes and data warehousing conceptsFamiliarity with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables) as a complement to Power BIExperience working with legacy systems or undocumented reporting environmentsExposure to Python or another scripting language for data analysis
