About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Night shift What You’ll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Adhere to established protocols and document patient care accurately. Requirements Education: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications: BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
