RN - PCU

Registered Nurse - Neuro Progressive Care Unit

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12-hour shifts, Day Shift (07:00 - 19:30), rotating weekends.

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department, focusing on medical neurological patients. The team is supported by a Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD) that offers continuous surveillance for patients. Candidates may be required to float among various Cone Health facilities as needed.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.

Administer medications, including cardiac drips (no titration) and manage BiPAP/CPAP as necessary.

Utilize skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and provide tracheostomy care.

Conduct assessments and implement care plans for patients experiencing CVA, seizures, and other neurological disorders.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, Physical Therapy, and Emergency Response teams.

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in Neuro PCU.

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.

Previous Charge RN experience preferred.

Active Registered Nurse license required at the time of submission.

Experience with charting system Epic is required.
