Group Manager and Head of Enterprise Insurance Sales & Service Training

Job Summary The Group Manager, Insurance Sales & Service Talent Development is responsible for shaping and promoting enterprise-wide talent development strategies to ensure the organization attracts, selects, and develops top-tier talent in alignment with our HR People Strategy. This role oversees full-cycle development of our insurance sales and service employees through workshops, training, and assessment of business needs. It partners closely with senior leaders to meet current and future workforce needs, directs the talent development function for Insurance Sales and Service, and regularly engages executive leadership to align development activities with strategic priorities. Job Duties Oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities; provide strong leadership during new learning initiatives and measure their impact to ensure appropriate business outcomes. Provide strategic leadership for Claims, Underwriting, and Technology talent development, driving corporate initiatives and ensuring close linkages to performance management and career planning. Lead, design, and continuously improve end-to-end talent strategies, processes, tools, and technologies to support organizational growth and business demand. Plan, launch, monitor, and act on long‑range talent development initiatives aligned with the organization’s strategic goals, translating workforce needs into practical development solutions. Partner with Human Resources to align talent development programs with recruitment, career development, performance management and compensation plans, and participate in the development of related policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and maintain knowledge of evolving legal requirements across multiple markets. Build a high‑performing, inclusive, and collaborative talent development organization tailored to the needs of this business unit. Manage staffing functions, including hiring, performance management, promotions, terminations, and other related activities for direct reports and team members. Direct the development, tracking, and analysis of talent development metrics, dashboards, and reports to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of experience in Training and Development or a related business unit at a large company; preferred. 4–6 years of experience leading and managing teams with a proven track record of building high‑performing teams; preferred. Demonstrated success operating in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, performance‑driven environment. Strong partnership experience across multiple departments and leadership levels. Deep understanding of talent strategies and experience with insurance sales and service organizations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills. Strategic mindset to develop practical, scalable recruiting solutions aligned with organizational goals. High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism in handling sensitive employment matters. Knowledge of learning and development principles, instructional design, technology‑based learning, skill development, change management, and process design. Experience in broader HR matters including performance management, succession planning, and talent development. Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Ability to influence and persuade groups to achieve desired outcomes. SHRM‑SCP preferred or SPHR. Compensation The starting pay range for this position is: $160,500.00 – $214,100.00. Additionally, for full‑time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team, and personal performance.
