Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Peoria, AZ

Astrya Global, a San Diegobased medical staffing agency, is hiring an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a healthcare facility in Peoria, AZ. This is a 6-week locum tenens contract with the potential to extend.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care of patients in the operating room.
• Conducting patient assessments to determine physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, and discharge planning needs.
• Formulating patient-centered care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Implementing plans of care through direct patient care, coordination, and supervision of healthcare team activities.
• Evaluating patient responses to care, revising care plans as necessary, and documenting all activities in patient records.
• Participating in continuing education, role development, and mentorship of colleagues and students.
• Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and national nursing quality indicators.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required.
• Current, valid RN license in Arizona or temporary RN license in Arizona.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PALS certification required within 90 days of start date if assigned to pediatric services.
• Minimum one year of licensed RN experience in the operating room for core positions; two years preferred for PRN roles.
