Manufacturing & Production Technician-1

Tate & Lyle is a global provider of ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries, operating from more than 30 locations around the world. ROLE PURPOSE The packaging operator serves as the end‑of‑line position responsible for operating the packaging equipment to fill finished product bags with product to be sampled, weighed, labeled, palletized, stretch‑wrapped, and stored in the warehouse ready for shipment to the customer. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Shift Supervisor or other site leadership members with tasks required in other areas or departments. Floor operator provides daily support in the production department. Daily activities include, but are not limited to, receiving material into the plant using standard operating procedures, communicating with railroad for delivery and removal of railcars, shipping material using Bill of Lading information, loading and unloading product from trailers, and assisting in other areas as needed or assigned by the Shift Supervisor or other members of site leadership. Utility operator provides daily support in the utilities department. Daily activities include, but are not limited to, operations of high‑pressure steam boilers, processing and testing of chemicals, secondary containment monitoring/control, interaction with the process distillation system, and operations/interactions with the site waste treatment center. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Plant Coordinator with tasks required in other areas or departments. Lab operator ensures the plant scientific and medical laboratory is prepared for taking test samples, keeping lab records, maintaining equipment, and providing data to support findings. Control room operator monitors operations through various computer monitors, which identify the main operating mechanics of the plant.
