Custodian - Full Time

CUSTODIAN - FULL TIME - HIGH SCHOOL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Custodial duties include all phases of commercial cleaning
• Setup and tear down of various school spaces (cafeteria, gymnasium, classrooms, pool etc.)
• Light maintenance duties and security responsibilities throughout the building.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and disinfecting procedures
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and follow directions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The employee must be able to push items of 50 lbs., such as pushing equipment, or moving/rearranging furniture. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Monday through Friday, 8 Hours/Day (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.), 40 Hours/Week, 52 Weeks/Year. Occasional extra work hours are available during week and/or weekend.
