Tableau Developer/Administrator

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months

This is more of an Administrator role

*** This position is approved to be filled by a remote contractor who resides and will work within the continental United States. ***

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Client requires the services of [1] Information Tableau Server Administrator who meets the general qualification and the specifications outlined in this document. The workers responsibilities and skills must include:

• Configure and maintain Tableau Server Software Layer
• System Administration (includes site creation, server maintenance/Upgrades/patches).
• Change management including software, hardware upgrades, patches
• Monitor server activity/usage statistics to identify possible performance issues/enhancements
• Performance tuning / Server management of tableau server environment (clustering, Load balancing).
• Create/Manage Groups, Workbooks and Projects, Database Views, Data Sources and Data Connections.
• Manage and support migration of objects (dimensions, measures, hierarchies, reports, workbooks, dashboards), from development to production environments.
• Provide appropriate training and support to business users on the use of Tableau interactive web reports, and Tableau Desktop.
• Partner with business to design tableau KPI scorecards & dashboards.
• Assist in the identification and migration of data sources to Tableau server.
• Assist in development of workbooks and dashboards to support business initiatives.
• Develop and document standards/best practices for development and administration of the Tableau platform.
• Work closely with technical architects, data and software engineers to ensure optimal application and data database/warehouse design to support reporting requirements.
• Performs related work as assigned.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required) Minimum Requirements

Years - Skills/Experience

7 - Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration.

5 - Experience in BI role working specifically with Business Community producing analytical reports/dashboards, predictive analytics, ROI calculations demonstrating value of BI

5 - Ability to architect a stable Tableau solution guaranteed for high operational availability.

3 - Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery.

5 - Experience working with critical timelines.

5 - Experience bridging the technology gap for owners and custodians
