Occupational Therapist (School-Based)
Location: Butler, PA
Job Type: Full-Time | 220 Days/Year
Schedule: Monday - Friday | ~8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic school-based program serving children and young adults with autism, developmental delays, and learning differences. This role offers an excellent opportunity for therapists who value collaboration, structured schedules, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings and standardized occupational therapy evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to contribute to IEPs and 504 plans
- Provide therapy focused on fine motor skills, visual motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate documentation and therapy records
- Manage caseload effectively while ensuring high-quality care
Education, Licensure, and Experience
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Pennsylvania State Board of Occupational Therapy License
- Experience in school-based settings, autism spectrum disorders, or developmental delays preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Required Clearances & Certifications
- Act 33 - Child Abuse Clearance
- Act 34 - Pennsylvania State Criminal History Clearance
- Act 114 - FBI Clearance (Department of Education)
- Act 168 Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Recent Physical Examination and TB Test
