Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel ```htmlJob Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry – Georgia Start Date: September 14, 2026 Location: Georgia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 13-week assignment; typically every other weekend; patient ratio 1:5-6 days/nights, 1:6 weekends; 32-bed unit; call is rare with 2-hour response time Highlights: Cardiac telemetry unit with overflow IMCU patients requiring advanced cardiac monitoring and drip management Diverse patient population including cardiac CHF, arrhythmias, post-cardiac cath, chest pain, renal, pulmonary conditions, and surgical patients Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and social services Floating within facility/scope of practice; maximum 7 days RTO per contract Holiday coverage required based on assignment dates; locals accepted at same rate Requirements: Active Georgia or Compact RN license Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry or progressive care experience; prior travel experience required Must have demonstrated experience managing continuous IV medications including cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), diuretics (Bumex, Lasix), anticoagulants (Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin), and insulin drips Competency in arrhythmia interpretation and management, cardioversion, hemodynamic monitoring, and post-PCI care Experience with TR Bands, central line management, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring Epic experience preferred; ability to manage patient ratios up to 1:6 Full compliance documentation required prior to start date Why It's a Great Opportunity: This cardiac telemetry position offers experienced travel nurses the chance to work with a diverse and complex patient population in a fast-paced environment.
