Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative nursing care for surgical patients in a fast-paced perioperative setting
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio within an 8-bed unit serving geriatric, adult, and minimal pediatric populations
• Utilize Cerner EHR to document patient assessments, care plans, and clinical outcomes accurately
• Respond to call requirements as needed per unit scheduling
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and readiness for operative procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure as a dependable team player

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must meet state requirements for Arizona)
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative / Pre-Op RN experience
• Trauma Level 3 facility experience or comfort working in a similar environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
• Experience with geriatric and adult surgical patient populations
• Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in a travel or contract nursing environment
