MRI Technologist - Full Time

A leading healthcare client is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join their team in a permanent role at a hospital in Craig, CO. You will accurately interpret physicians' scanning instructions, prepare and position patients for MRI procedures, and operate MRI scanners to create diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration in Radiology (R) with certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
• ARRT certification including Computed Tomography (CT) when applicable for cross-coverage responsibilities.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license required for positions that require driving.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and breath alcohol test if applicable.
• Experience operating MRI equipment and performing MRI procedures according to protocols.
• Experience with radiographic procedures including X-ray and fluoroscopy, including C-arm and operating room work, preferred.
• Experience with electronic imaging systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS preferred.
• Two years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI experience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to assist in other modalities, adjust schedules, take call, overtime, or holiday shifts as needed.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures at a technologist level in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Demonstrate proficiency in radiographic procedures, including X-ray and fluoroscopy with C-arm and OR support when required.
• Adhere to radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment consistent with manufacturer recommendations; contact service engineers when external maintenance is required.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record, including procedural charges and supply documentation.
• Provide patient education, explain procedures and equipment, and ensure patient cooperation and safety.
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, patient transport, and inventory management as needed.
• Train, assist, or cross-train imaging staff members as directed.
• Participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and comply with all regulatory and infection control requirements.
• Complete required annual education, training, and licensure/certification updates.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
