About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ICU / Critical Care Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced critical care procedures and patient management.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Procedures & Line Management

• Arterial line management
• Central line care and management
• PICC line management
• Port access and management
• IV initiation and maintenance
• Blood product administration

Respiratory / Thoracic Care

• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal
• Manage BiPAP and CPAP
• Care of ventilated patients
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
• Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)*
• Suctioning (ETT, nasotracheal)

Genitourinary / Renal

• Management of chronic and acute renal failure*

Medication Administration

• Continuous IV paralytics / neuromuscular blockade
• Continuous IV sedation
• Emergency medication administration
• Procedural sedation (administration & monitoring)
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

Neurological Care

• CVA / Acute stroke management
• Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring*

Gastrointestinal

• Post-operative care for GI surgery patients

Professional Skills

• Infection prevention and control
• Isolation precautions and PPE usage
• Phlebotomy
• Wound care (including drains and wound vacs)

Cardiac Monitoring & Emergency Response

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG

Endocrine / Metabolic

• Management of metabolic and endocrine disorders

Requirements

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS* (Stroke Scale Certification)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC* (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
