Position Overview
As a CFS Designer, you will engineer and detail light-gauge steel framing systems, including load-bearing walls, floor trusses, and roof structures. You will turn architectural concepts into structural realities, ensuring structural integrity, code compliance, and seamless fabrication.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer cold-formed steel framing systems using specialized engineering software.
• Generate highly accurate shop drawings, structural framing layouts, and installation details.
• Ensure all designs strictly comply with local building codes, AISI standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, general contractors, and prefabrication shop teams.
• Provide technical support during construction, resolving field-use issues and reviewing submittals.

 

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent design experience).
• Experience: 2+ years of experience specializing in cold-formed steel (light-gauge) design or structural detailing.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or dedicated CFS software (e.g., Vertex BD, MWF, RISA, or CFS).
• Certifications: EIT certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license is a major plus.
• Skills: Strong understanding of load paths, structural mechanics, and structural software workflows.
