St. Barnabas Community Hospital is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist for a 10-week Acute Care assignment in the Bronx, New York. This opportunity is ideal for therapists with prior acute care experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced hospital environment alongside an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

You'll evaluate and treat hospitalized patients with a variety of medical, surgical, orthopedic, and neurological conditions while helping them safely regain mobility and function.

Responsibilities

• Perform PT evaluations and reassessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, and post-surgical diagnoses
• Provide gait training, transfer training, balance activities, and therapeutic exercise
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and rehabilitation team members
• Complete timely documentation and patient progress reports
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education
