This is a field-focused leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple low-voltage trade partners across several technology systems and scopes. The ideal candidate has experience working on larger commercial construction projects and brings a strong field presence, the ability to build relationships with trade partners, and the confidence to keep multiple scopes moving safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.This project is expected to continue through the end of 2027 and is part of a longer-term expansion within the DMV market.ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day field oversight of multiple low-voltage trade partners and subcontractors.Coordinate installation activities across several concurrent low-voltage scopes.Monitor field progress, manpower, schedule, quality, and installation readiness.Coordinate low-voltage activities with general construction, electrical, mechanical, and other trades.Review work in the field for compliance with project drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and installation standards.Lead field coordination and help resolve installation conflicts, sequencing issues, and other construction challenges.Oversee fiber installation activities, including termination and testing.Support planning and coordination for structured cabling and other technology infrastructure.Build productive working relationships with subcontractors, field leadership, project management, and other project stakeholders.Maintain a visible presence in the field and hold trade partners accountable for commitments, quality, safety, and schedule.Participate in project meetings, field walks, scheduling discussions, and progress reviews.Identify potential risks or delays early and work with the project team and trade partners to develop solutions.Support documentation, punch-list completion, testing, closeout, and turnover activities.Low Voltage ScopeThe project includes multiple low-voltage systems, which may include:Structured cablingFiber optic infrastructureTelecommunications systemsDistributed Antenna Systems (DAS)Nurse call systemsElectronic security systemsAdditional communications and building technology systemsQualificationsCommercial construction experience with direct exposure to low-voltage systems.Experience supporting or leading projects valued at approximately $1M or greater, with preference for candidates accustomed to larger, complex construction environments.Experience overseeing multiple low-voltage subcontractors, crews, or workstreams.Strong understanding of structured cabling and fiber installation, termination, and testing.Experience with several low-voltage scopes such as telecommunications, DAS, nurse call, security, structured cabling, and related systems.Previous Superintendent experience is preferred but not required; experienced Low Voltage Foremen and Leads with strong leadership capabilities will be considered.Ability to read construction drawings, understand installation requirements, and coordinate work between multiple trades.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Demonstrated ability to lead people, address field issues directly, and maintain accountability while developing positive relationships with trade partners.Comfortable working primarily in an active construction environment.If the application for this position prompts you to respond to a question with number of years, e.g., your number of years of relevant work experience, please enter '30' if your answer is 30 years or more. xhyhwjd Please be aware that we are acting as a recruitment partner for one of our clients in this search.
