Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse, providing essential nursing care to surgery patients while ensuring high standards of safety and quality care in the Operating Room (O.R.). This role emphasizes patient assessment, monitoring, and preparing the surgical environment while collaborating with physicians and other departments. Responsibilities Assess and monitor the physical status of patients undergoing surgery. Collect and record necessary data through interviews, observations, and reviews of records. Communicate effectively with patients to understand their perceptions and needs related to surgery. Identify necessary interventions based on specific surgical procedures and standards of care. Anticipate potential issues and adapt to changing surgical procedures or patient statuses. Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the need for equipment and supplies during procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of anesthesia drugs and expected surgical outcomes. Evaluate and reassess nursing interventions in relation to established patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure State of California Registered Nurse License required. American Heart Association BLS certification required. American Heart Association ACLS certification required. A minimum of two years of experience in an operating room setting is required. Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments. Schedule This position involves 12-hour varied shifts.
