A mid-sized law firm is seeking to hire a bankruptcy associate with 6-10 years of major law firm (biglaw) or mid-size experience. The ideal candidate will have been on a team which has represented official and unofficial committees of unsecured creditors and have experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting reorganization plans. The firm also takes on discreet Debtor cases. Qualifications 6+ years' Bankruptcy law firm experience required Candidates must have substantive knowledge of Title 11 of the US Code, all related rules and procedures, as well as Company side debtor experience Experience in bankruptcy and creditors' rights law, including collateral repossession, the Uniform Commercial Code (Articles 2, 2A and 9 in particular), equipment leasing, commercial real estate foreclosure and commercial finance law Excellent written and oral communication skills Responsibilities Handling all aspects of end to end client Bankruptcy matters Drafting first day pleadings, motions & chapter 11 plans Drafting complaints and motions Appearing in Federal, State and Bankruptcy Courts Negotiating settlements Corresponding with Opposing Counsel & Clients #J-18808-Ljbffr
